Uni is the Mongolian word for Roof Poles, or Roof Rafters.  They are what typically hold the Tono up in the center of the Ger and create the roof of the Ger.  Uni come in many forms, but the most common is round, or square.  For the Ger, I used 1"x2" Pine Boards.  A traditional Ger will have Uni that are round in the middle, tapered square at the Tono end and has two holes drilled in the Khana end for tying to the Khana.  And some Uni, are even bent, like in the picture above, to help give the roof a rounded over appearance.  There will be two variations provided, depending on which Tono is built.
